Hestra Windshield Liner is a flexible and functional liner glove that combines windproof protection on the upper side with good grip and moisture transport on the palm . It works great as a thin layer for outdoor activities on cool and windy days - or as an inner glove under thicker gloves when the temperature drops.
The upper side is sewn in a windproof and breathable stretch fabric that protects against chilly wind while releasing excess heat. The palm in durable polyester stretch with PU print provides a secure grip around, for example, hiking poles, fishing rods or other outdoor equipment .
With touchscreen-compatible material on the thumb and index finger, you can easily operate your phone, GPS or watch without taking off the glove. A soft brushed polyester fleece cuff wraps comfortably around the wrist for extra comfort, while the handy hanging loop makes the glove easy to dry and store. The Windshield Liner is machine washable and easy to care for for active use.

Hestra Windshield Liner is a flexible five-finger glove with a windproof top, grippy palm and touch function on the index finger and thumb. It can be used independently for running, hiking and outdoor activities or as an extra layer under a roomier outer glove.
The size should be chosen according to the hand. The Windshield Liner is a stand-alone liner and does not need to be the same size as the outer glove.
| Hestra size | Hand circumference |
|---|---|
| 6 | approximately 152 mm |
| 7 | approximately 178 mm |
| 8 | approximately 203 mm |
| 9 | approximately 229 mm |
| 10 | approximately 254 mm |
| 11 | approximately 279 mm |
The measurements are approximate. Measure both hands and choose the size based on the larger hand.
If you don't have a soft tape measure, you can use a string and then measure the length of the string with a ruler.
The glove should follow the shape of the hand without feeling tight. The material should lie smoothly over the palm and fingers so that the grip pressure makes proper contact with rods, tools and other equipment.
The fingertips should reach into the glove without being pressed against the seams. The touch surfaces of the index finger and thumb need to be over the fingertips to function as well as possible.
The right fit means that:
Normally, choose the larger size if your hand measurement is between two sizes. A glove that is too small can be tight between the fingers, restricting mobility and causing the touch surfaces to be misaligned.
Don't choose a smaller size just to get a tighter grip. The palm should be close to the hand, but the fit shouldn't restrict circulation.
If the larger size causes obvious creases in the palm or too long fingers, you should try both sizes before deciding.
When running, hiking or other activities, the fit should be relatively close to the body. Too much loose material can impair grip and make it more difficult to handle phones, GPS, zippers and other equipment.
Check the fit by gripping a pole handle or similar object. The glove should follow the hand without slipping or forming any significant creases in the palm.
Always try the Windshield Liner together with the intended outer glove:
The outer glove must have enough volume for both layers. If it already fits close to the hand without a liner, the combination may be too tight.
Your regular Hestra size is a good starting point, but the size numbers don't always have to be identical. The Windshield Liner does not attach to the outer glove and is not a form-fitting replacement liner.
Choose the size of the liner according to your hand measurements and then check that the entire combination fits in the outer glove.
The model:
The Windshield Liner has a windproof top, but the glove is not waterproof. In rain, sleet or prolonged wetness, it needs to be combined with a protective shell glove.
