The OMM Core Beanie is an extremely lightweight and packable beanie designed for high-intensity outdoor activities where weight, function and temperature regulation are paramount. Featuring innovative PRIMALOFT® ACTIVE fabric, it offers exceptional warmth-to-weight and performs equally well in dry and wet weather.

Primaloft® ACTIVE blurs the line between classic fleece and synthetic insulation. The insulation fibers are woven through an open polyester mesh, creating a structure that is significantly warmer than traditional fleece – at less than half the weight . The result is down-like warmth when dry and continued insulation when wet.

The hat has a tight-fitting headband construction that makes it ideal under a helmet or in combination with a hood or waterproof cap. The high air permeability means that excess heat is ventilated away during activity, while the hat effectively traps heat when the pace slows.

Weighing only 18 grams, the Core Beanie is an obvious choice for trail running, skiing, fastpacking, mountain tours and as a thermal layer in your backpack all year round.

The OMM Core Beanie is a unisex beanie made from stretchy PrimaLoft® ACTIVE fleece. Available in one size , it's designed to fit snugly around the head during running and other high-intensity activities.

OMM does not specify a specific range in centimeters for the Core Beanie. The stretch of the material means that the same size can adapt to a variety of head shapes and measurements.

How is the OMM Core Beanie sized?

The Core Beanie has a close, athletic fit . It is designed to conform to the head without any loose material and can be worn under a hood or thin shell cap. The flatlock seams and stretchy fleece material help the hat mold to the shape of your head.

The hat may feel tight when first trying it on, but should not cause pressure on the forehead or temples.

Our size recommendation

Choose one size if regular adult hats normally fit you. Since the model is stretchy, it works for most head shapes.

If you usually find one-size hats to be very tight or loose, you should try the fit extra carefully. OMM does not publish exact head measurements for this model.

How to measure your head

1. Place a soft measuring tape approximately 1–2 cm above your eyebrows.
2. Place the measuring tape around the widest part of your head and just above your ears.
3. Keep the measuring tape flat and relatively close to the skin without pulling.
4. Note the circumference of the head in centimeters.

The measurement can be used to compare with other one-size hats that you know fit well.

Check the fit

The Core Beanie fits correctly when:

• it covers the forehead and ears to the desired extent,
• it lies close to the head without folds,
• it does not slide up during movement,
• it does not cause uncomfortable pressure on the forehead or temples,
• It works comfortably under a hood or shell garment.
