The Nordisk Iver -10° Mummy Sleeping Bag is a warm down sleeping bag for winter hiking, ski touring and other adventures in sub-zero temperatures. The combination of RDS-certified European duck down, H-box construction and low weight provides effective insulation without the sleeping bag being unnecessarily heavy or bulky.

Iver −10° has a comfort temperature of −4 °C and a limit temperature of −10 °C. The Medium model weighs 1,065 grams and contains 675 grams of down, making it significantly lighter than a comparable winter sleeping bag with synthetic insulation.

What does the temperature indication −10 °C mean?

The -10°C in the product name refers to the sleeping bag's stated limit temperature. It is not a comfort temperature that applies to all users.

Comfort temperature: −4 °C – the temperature most relevant for those who easily freeze.

Limit temperature: −10 °C – the lower temperature limit that Nordisk specifies for the sleeping bag.

Extreme temperature: −29°C – a safety limit for survival, not a temperature for normal use or comfortable sleeping.

Actual sleeping comfort is also affected by the R-value of the sleeping pad, clothing, wind, humidity, tent, food intake and individual cold tolerance. For winter use, the sleeping bag needs to be combined with a well-insulating sleeping pad.

RDS-certified down with 700+ fill power

Iver −10° is filled in Germany with CRYSTAL DOWN® from European white ducks. The filling consists of 90 percent down and 10 percent feathers and has a fill power of at least 700 cuin according to European measurements.

The high fill power provides a good balance between warmth, weight and pack volume. The down is RDS certified and distributed in an H-box construction that keeps the filling in place in separate chambers and helps reduce cold spots.

The product contains non-textile parts of animal origin.

Roomier upper body and more efficient lower body

Iver has an extra spacious upper body that allows for greater freedom of movement than a traditionally narrow mummy sleeping bag. The fit gradually narrows at the knees and feet, where unnecessary air space has a greater impact on how quickly the sleeping bag warms up.

The shaped Sharkfin footbox gives your feet room to lie naturally while the construction limits the amount of air your body needs to warm up. The result is a combination of freedom of movement around your upper body and effective heat retention around your legs.

Adjustable 3D hood and thermal collar

The 3D shaped hood can be adjusted around your head and is designed to move with you, allowing you to sit up in your sleeping bag without your entire head leaving the insulated hood.

An adjustable thermal collar closes at the shoulders and helps to trap heated air in the main body of the sleeping bag. The combination of hood, thermal collar and mummy shape reduces heat loss on cold nights.

Two-way zipper with pinch protection

The side zipper can be opened in two directions, which makes it easier to get on and off and regulate temperature. A pinch guard reduces the risk of the zipper getting caught in the thin sleeping bag fabric.

The zipper is located on the left side.

Recycled ripstop fabric

The outer fabric is made of durable 20D ripstop nylon made from 100 percent recycled polyamide. The material weighs 41 g/m² and provides low weight while the ripstop structure limits how far a small tear can spread.

The fabric is made without intentionally added PFAS. However, the sleeping bag is not waterproof and should be protected from rain, wet ground and prolonged condensation to ensure the down retains its loft.

Storage and care

Air out your sleeping bag after each use and allow it to dry completely before packing away. Always follow the washing instructions on the product label and use a detergent specifically designed for down. Do not use regular detergent or fabric softener, as this can reduce the loft and natural properties of the down.

The compression bag is intended for transport. For longer storage, the sleeping bag should be stored loosely in a large storage bag or hung in a dry and airy place. Do not store it compressed for long periods of time.
