Sealskinz Worstead is the classic, knee-high, military-proven waterproof sock – developed for extreme conditions and cold weather.

This thermal and 100% waterproof sock is designed to perform in a variety of harsh environments, from winter hiking to skiing and other demanding winter activities. The advanced Aquasealz™ hydrophila membrane effectively blocks water, snow and cold while releasing excess heat and moisture from the inside – keeping feet dry, warm and comfortable for long periods of time.

The inside is lined with premium merino wool in a terry loop knit , which provides extra insulation, high comfort and efficient sweat transport. Merino wool's natural temperature-regulating properties mean that the sock works just as well in low-intensity cold as during more active use.

The seamless construction combined with elastic support around the ankle provides a secure, close fit without chafing – even when used with ski boots or heavier winter boots.

Materials & Construction

The sock is made up of three interconnected layers that together create a very durable, waterproof and breathable whole:

Outer layer: 90% Nylon, 10% Elastane

Midlayer: Aquasealz® waterproof membrane

Inner layer: 35% Merino Wool, 35% Acrylic, 23% Polyester, 3.5% Nylon, 3.5% Elastane

Care instructions

Sealskinz Worstead is easy to care for and requires no special detergents. The waterproof membrane is a solid barrier and never needs to be re-impregnated .

Machine wash: 40°C

Drying: Low temperature in tumble dryer or drip drying

Avoid: Dry cleaning, ironing and bleach
