TECHNICAL, EASY AND SAFE
Super light and technical backpack for ascent-oriented freeriding
Highlights
• All important equipment can be packed in or out without having to remove the backpack
• Very compact, technical, light and minimalistic
• Ergonomic design
The new Ravine backpack from Ortovox is a light and technical freeride backpack for demanding skiers who don't want to waste time getting to the next steep descent. What makes it so special? You can pop in and out of all your essential gear on the go, without having to take it off.
With the help of a parallel quick attachment that fastens the skis with a carabiner, even wide freeride skis can be attached to the backpack in a simple movement if you need to carry them for short passages. Crampons can be stored in the practical extra compartment at the base, so that they are always close at hand without having to take off the rucksack. The separate safety compartment provides quick access to all emergency equipment and a lightweight ice axe, while all items in the main compartment can be accessed from either the top or the side. Additionally, the Ravine scores highly with the usual attachment options for skis, poles, ropes, helmets and ice screws, and includes a map pocket and fluid system compatibility.
Thanks to the ergonomic full contact light carrying system, the backpack distributes the load optimally over the back and fits tightly against the spine without slipping. For additional back protection, the Ravine can be equipped with the Ortovox Clasp Spine Protector on the inside. The back protector can be purchased separately, is certified according to motorcycle standards and slides easily into a separate inner pocket.
In addition to safety and functionality, Ravine also focuses on the environment: the Freeriding backpack is completely PFC-free and is also made from recycled polyamide in a climate-neutral process.
