The Exped Bivybag VentAir/PU is a spacious, waterproof and extremely breathable bivy bag , developed for those who want a comfortable alternative to classic emergency bivouacs and who plan to sleep out in the open. It is designed for repeated use on minimalist tours, alpine overnight stays and tarp-based camps, where good moisture management is essential.

The top is made of VentAir® 3-layer laminate , which combines waterproofness (10,000 mm water column) with very high breathability (MVTR up to 40,000 g/m²/24 h) . This significantly reduces condensation compared to dense bivy sacks. The underside is made of durable recycled 70D taffeta nylon with PU coating and taped seams, with a 7,000 mm water column , which effectively protects against ground moisture and dirt.

The bivy bag has a spacious mummy shape with a wide 3D foot box , which can accommodate even voluminous sleeping bags without compressing the insulation. The generous 3D hood is reinforced with integrated aluminum wire to create good headroom and is equipped with a mosquito net that provides ventilation and protection against insects.

For practical use, the Bivybag VentAir/PU has several suspension and anchoring loops at the hood and foot end, so that it can be stretched or hung for airing and drying. The model is intended for four-season use , depending on the sleeping system, and according to the manufacturer, provides a comfort improvement of approximately +7 °C in combination with a sleeping bag.
