The OMM Ice Axe Kit is a lightweight and adjustable attachment system that allows you to carry an ice axe or a pair of poles on the outside of your backpack. The kit fits all OMM backpacks and can also be used on many other backpacks with suitable attachment points.
The simple design with elastic cord and Duraflex components weighs only about 10 grams. A practical accessory for winter running, mountaineering and other activities where ice axes or poles need to be transported safely and easily accessible.
The adjustable attachment works with most common ice axe shapes and can also be used to carry poles. The elastic cord adapts to the shape of the equipment and helps keep it stable against the backpack.
The Ice Axe Kit expands the backpack's range of use during the winter without adding unnecessary weight or pack volume.
The attachment system is mounted to the backpack's existing attachment points without special tools. Follow OMM assembly instructions and adjust the cord so that the ice axe or poles are securely attached without being able to come loose or swing during movement.
Always check the attachment before setting off and at regular intervals during the trip.
