Åsnes Kongsvold Hunter BC – flexible hunting and dog ski for forest & mountains

Åsnes Kongsvold Hunter BC is a specially developed touring ski for hunting and dog tours , where agility, buoyancy and control in forest terrain are more important than edge grip on hard ground. Therefore, the ski is without a steel edge , which makes it quieter in the snow and more forgiving when moving close to dogs, weapons and equipment.

With its clear cut , soft tip and large bearing surface, the Kongsvold Hunter BC offers very good floatation in loose and deep snow, while being easy to turn and handle in dense forest. It is designed for active skiing in varied terrain - perfect for winter hunting, leisure with a dog and leisurely mountain skiing off-piste.

Shorter skis – same buoyancy

Kongsvold Hunter BC has a stiff midsection , which allows you to choose skis that are up to 10 cm shorter than traditional touring skis – without losing support. This gives:

easier handling in forests and hilly terrain

better control when turning

smoother riding with a dog

For stable skiers, it is even possible to ski parallel turns , which is unusual for classic touring skis.
