Åsnes Amundsen BC is a classic and proven touring ski for long mountain hikes , developed for those who prioritize efficient walking, stability and predictability during long days in the mountains. The ski is particularly suitable for tours with a sled and/or a heavy backpack , where directional stability and good grip are crucial.
With its longitudinally rigid construction , clear spans and marked skid zone, the Amundsen BC retains the skid for a long time and provides a safe and effective push - even over long distances in varying snow conditions.
Åsnes Amundsen BC is equipped with:
Full steel edge for better control on hard snow and ice
Narrow waist that allows the ski to fit into prepared tracks
Directionally stable shape for safe walking on open spaces
This makes the ski an excellent choice for traditional mountain skiing, where the focus is on transportation, endurance and stability rather than playful downhill skiing .
The ski comes with Åsnes X-Skin fell locks , which makes it easy to mount short fells when the terrain requires extra grip, for example:
on steeper uphill sections
in icy or difficult-to-wade conditions
with heavy load
This gives you a very flexible touring ski that works with both classic attachment wax and short skin.
