Åsnes Ingstad Waxless is a modern and wax-free touring ski for those who want to combine high speed, stability and control with easy handling without wax. With its generous sidecut and well-thought-out construction, Ingstad is built to be responsive in turns , safe in downhill skiing and at the same time efficient on long traverses over flat terrain.
The ski's versatility comes from the combination of pronounced Nordic Rocker , tapered tip and Åsnes' well-developed binding structure. The result is a ski that is easy to turn , stable at higher speeds and offers very good control in deep snow and demanding mountain terrain .
The wax-free base provides reliable grip in most snow conditions and makes Ingstad Waxless an excellent choice for those who want to focus on skiing - not on the waxing shed.
Åsnes Ingstad Waxless is built with a triple core of paulownia and poplar , which provides:
Low weight – just over 2 kg per pair (200 cm)
Good cushioning and stability
Efficient power transfer in downhill skiing
A perfect balance for both long mountain tours and more demanding descents .
The ski is equipped with Åsnes Skinlock , which allows you to quickly attach X-Skin short skins when the terrain requires extra grip.
Recommended X-Skins:
58 mm Nylon – wet snow & steep terrain
45 mm Mohair – cold weather & flat terrain
This gives you the opportunity to easily adapt the ski to the snow, slope and length of the tour .
Åsnes Ingstad is named after Helge Ingstad – trapper, polar hero, researcher and former governor of Greenland and Svalbard. His expeditions and writings about the Arctic, hunting and Nordic settlements have inspired generations of adventurers. The Ingstad ski carries the same legacy: endurance, curiosity and function in demanding environments .
