Åsnes Amundsen Fram Waxless – stable expedition touring ski for long tours

Åsnes Amundsen Fram Waxless is a stiff, longitudinally stable and directional touring ski , developed for long mountain tours with sleds and heavy packs . This is the wax-free version of the classic Amundsen ski – designed for adventurers who want reliable grip, minimal maintenance and maximum stability .

The ski is built to perform on groomed trails , on flat terrain , and in expedition-like conditions where reliability is crucial.

Shedding-free – simple and effective attachment

Amundsen Fram Waxless has:

fleece-free structure during binding

significant span and longitudinally rigid construction

It gives:

secure attachment without glue or adhesive

stable walking even with sledge

smooth glide in varying snow

For extra grip on steeper terrain, the ski is equipped with Åsnes Skinlock , ready for X-Skin short fells .

Built for sledding and heavy packing

This model is stiffer than the standard Amundsen , making it particularly suitable for:

sledding

expeditions

multi-day backpacking trips

The clear longitudinal stiffness means that the ski:

keeps the course at high speed

does not “sag” under load

provides secure stability on flat terrain

Classic geometry – suitable for ski trails

With its relatively narrow waist, Amundsen Fram Waxless fits:

in regular cross-country tracks

on snowmobile trails

on open mountain ranges

This makes it an excellent choice for those who combine classic cross-country skiing and ski touring .
