Åsnes Amundsen BC is a classic and proven touring ski for long mountain tours , developed for skiers who prioritize efficient walking, stability and reliability over long distances. The ski is especially suitable for tours with a sled and/or heavy backpack , where directional stability and durable grip are crucial.
The ski is longitudinally stiff with a clear span and a marked valving zone that keeps the binding valving effective for a long time. The full steel edge provides security and control on hard surfaces, icy sections and traverses. Thanks to its relatively narrow waist, the Amundsen BC also fits well in prepared tracks , making it very versatile for classic mountain skiing.
Åsnes Amundsen BC comes with the modern X-Skin harness , which makes it easy to supplement with Åsnes short harnesses if needed. It provides extra grip in:
steeper uphills
icy or difficult-to-wade conditions
heavy pack or sledge pull
A flexible solution that combines classic packable touring skis with modern functionality.
Named after Roald Amundsen , one of history's greatest polar explorers and the first man to reach both the South Pole and the North Pole, the Amundsen BC is built for endurance, reliability and long adventures in demanding environments .
