Rottefella Xplore Backcountry Off-Track is an innovative binding system for those who want to experience the mountains in a whole new way. With a rearward-moved rotation point , wider contact between ski boot and binding, and smart features like SpringPin technology and heel lift , you get both better walking comfort and increased control downhill – regardless of the terrain.
Rotation point near the foot – better mobility and more natural stride
Increased stability downhill – safer riding in hilly terrain
Wider contact point – maximizes stability and power transfer
SpringPin technology – quick and easy to get in/out of
Pins on the side of the ski boot – reduces the risk of snow build-up
36 mm heel lift – more comfortable uphill on steep terrain
The Xplore Off-Track is designed for ski touring where you want to be able to move freely uphill – but at the same time have safe control when it's sloping downhill. The rearward pivot point and wider platform make the binding extra stable when:
downhill skiing in loose snow and slush
traverses and technical terrain
varying terrain in a mountain environment
Rottefella's SpringPin technology makes it easy to get in and out of the ski, even with gloves on. Since the pin is located on the side of the ski boot, it reduces the risk of snow getting packed into the binding itself – providing more reliable function in cold and damp conditions.
The integrated heel lift (36 mm) provides a more comfortable angle on steep climbs and relieves the calves on longer climbs – especially useful on mountain-tour-like tours and when hiking with a pack.
The binding is compatible with ski boots that have an Xplore sole .
Always check that your ski boot is marked with Xplore before purchasing.
