Colltex Protective Net is a perforated protective net that is used as an intermediate layer on climbing skins with traditional trap glue . The net protects the glue surface and makes it much easier to handle the climbing skins – both when packing and when you need to split them again.
The perforated material reduces the risk of the glue “mis-released”, getting stuck or remaining on the other half when you take the skins apart.
Makes skins easier to share
Reduces the risk of glue sticking to glue-to-glue
Reduces the adhesive surface remaining on the second half
Protects the adhesive surface during storage and transport
Perfect for hiking skins with traditional hotmelt/glue coating
When skins have traditional glue, the adhesive surface can sometimes:
get stuck too hard
is pulled off unevenly
leave glue residue
become more difficult to share in the cold
The protective net acts as a “separation layer” that makes handling easier – especially in cold temperatures.
