Bergans Y MountainLine Bold 3L Shell Bib Pants Men are advanced and durable shell pants with a high chest patch and suspenders. They are developed for demanding mountain activities where effective protection against wind, rain and wear is crucial.
The robust three-layer construction, full-length side zippers and reinforced leg cuffs make the pants particularly suitable for mountain tours, skiing, climbing and other adventures in exposed mountain environments.
Bega Membrane Bold Pro™ combines a water column of 20,000 mm with a breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24 h. The windproof and waterproof shell provides reliable weather protection, while the outer fabric made of 100% recycled polyamide withstands demanding use.
The upper part of the chest patch is made of a breathable softshell material with four-way stretch, which provides better freedom of movement and comfort when worn with a backpack and multiple layers of clothing.
Full-length side zippers with four pull tabs on each side provide great opportunities to adjust ventilation. The zippers also make it easier to take the pants on and off without having to take off the randonnée boots first.
The same zippers are used for the pants' practical drop seat function. The long two-way zipper at the front can also be opened for extra ventilation.
The leg cuffs have large, durable reinforcements and are internally reinforced with Cordura®. Push-button adjustment allows the width to be adjusted to suit ski boots and terrain. The trousers do not have an integrated gaiter, but a hook at the front allows the leg cuffs to be attached to the boot or ski boot.
Pre-bent knees and the panel construction in the crotch provide good freedom of movement and reduce the risk of friction and chafing during long and technical rides.

Bergans Y MountainLine Bold 3L Shell Bib Pants Men have a regular fit and are available in men's sizes 44–58. The pants have a high chest patch, pre-bent knees and adjustable suspenders that help you customize the fit.
For pants, the hip measurement is most important when choosing a size.
The table shows recommended body measurements, not the outer measurements of the pants.

The measurements are for guidance only. Body shape, layers under the pants and desired range of motion may affect the size selection.
Waist: Measure around the narrowest part of your waist. Keep the measuring tape horizontal without pulling it too tight.
Hip: Measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. This is the most important measurement for choosing the right pant size.
Inside leg length: Measure from the crotch along the inside of the leg down to the floor. Stand upright without shoes.
Body length: Measure from the top of your head to the floor when standing upright without shoes.
Start with your hip measurement first. If your waist and hip measurements are different, you should normally choose the size that fits your hips best. The adjustable suspenders will then help you adjust the height and position of the trousers.
The pants are designed as a technical shell garment and allow space for base layers and normal midlayers, so you usually don't need to go up a size for regular layering.
If you are between two sizes, Bergans generally recommends the smaller size. Choose the larger size if you want extra range of motion or will be using a thick layer of insulation under the shell pants.
