Why choose the Instinct Trail Reflex Belt?

This is a hydration belt for runners who know exactly what they want to wear – and where . The Reflex Belt is the result of extensive development and practical testing in alpine environments, with a focus on function before trend . For many trail runners, this is one of the most well-thought-out hydration belts on the market.

Instinct Trail Running Reflex Belt is a stretchy running belt that should sit stable and close to the body to minimize movement and bounce. The correct size is determined by measuring the circumference approximately 2 cm below the navel.

How do you measure?

  1. Stand relaxed with normal breathing.
  2. Place a soft measuring tape about 2 cm below the navel.
  3. Measure horizontally around the entire body.
  4. Let the measuring tape lie close to your body without tightening.
  5. Compare the measurement with the size chart.

Do not automatically measure where the waistband sits. The belt is designed to be placed relatively high around the torso.

What size should I choose?

The Reflex Belt has a tight and compressive fit. The stretchy material is designed to keep bottles, poles, phones and other equipment stable during your run.

  • If you are between two sizes, you should choose the larger one.
  • If your measurement is close to the upper limit of a size, the larger size is recommended.
  • Choose the larger size if you are sensitive to pressure around the stomach.
  • A smaller size provides higher compression but must not restrict breathing.
  • Ideally, try the belt with the equipment you intend to carry, such as a filled soft bottle, phone and poles.

Reflex Belt is perceived by many as being relatively small in size. If you are unsure between two options, the larger size is usually the safer choice.

Check the fit

When the belt is packed, it should stay in place as you run and jump. It shouldn't slide up, rotate or bounce, but you should still be able to breathe deeply and move your upper body freely.
