Regular cleaning helps keep hydration bladders and hydration systems looking fresh and working longer. The HydraPak Gear Cleaning Kit includes the tools needed to access both the reservoir and the narrow parts of the system.
The long hose brush has a flexible handle that is inserted through the drinking hose to remove deposits and residue. It can also be used to clean valves and other narrow components.
The larger brush has a flexible handle and is designed for cleaning the inside of the hydration bladder, lid, openings and hard-to-reach corners. The brush head makes it easier to scrub surfaces where sports drink and other beverage residue can otherwise remain.
After use, the brushes are stored in the included mesh bag. The bag keeps the cleaning tools together and allows them to continue to air dry.

The long and flexible hose brush is designed for cleaning:
Beverage hoses

Bite valves
Narrow openings
Hard-to-reach channels
The flexible shaft allows the brush to follow the shape of the hose and clean the inside along its entire length.
The larger brush is used for cleaning:
The inside of the fluid bladder
Larger volume containers
Lid
Filling openings
Corners and edges
Areas that are difficult to reach with a regular dish brush
The flexible handle makes it easier to reach into the container and around internal details.
The included mesh bag keeps the brushes together and makes them easy to store or take with you on your travels.
The mesh material allows air to pass through and helps the brushes dry after cleaning.
Empty the fluid bladder completely.
Disconnect the hose from the container.
Remove the bite valve from the hose.
Fill the container with warm water and a small amount of mild detergent.
Clean the inside with the larger brush.
Scrub lids, openings and corners thoroughly.
Insert the hose brush through the hose opening.
Move the brush back and forth until the entire hose is cleaned.
Clean the valve and its removable parts.
Rinse all parts thoroughly with clean water.
Allow the container, hose and valve to dry completely before assembling them.
Always follow the cleaning instructions for the specific fluid system.
Sports drinks and other flavored beverages can leave residue in the reservoir, hose, and valve, so clean the hydration system as soon as possible after use.
Be especially careful with:
Inside of the hose
The bite valve
Threads and caps
Corners in the container
Areas around the hose connection
Rinse with water first and then use the brushes with warm water and mild detergent. Allow all parts to dry completely before storing.
How often the fluid system needs to be cleaned depends on what it is used for.
Rinse the system and let it dry completely after use. Do a more thorough cleaning regularly.
Clean the container, hose and valve immediately after use. Otherwise, beverage residues can stick and affect taste and hygiene.
Clean all parts thoroughly and make sure the system is completely dry before storing it.
