The Montane Valen 30L Backpack is a lightweight and streamlined backpack for alpine climbing and mountaineering. With 30 liters of packing volume and a weight of only 560 grams, it combines durable materials with a body-hugging construction and practical equipment attachments.
The backpack is suitable for those who prioritize low weight, stable packing and easy handling in the mountains. Roll closure, compression straps and buckles that can be operated with gloves make it functional even in cold conditions.
The molded back panel follows the body and helps the backpack sit close to your back. The shoulder straps and simple webbing hip belt keep the design streamlined.
A continuous strap construction provides compression all around the pack. Combined with the side compression straps, it helps keep the contents together as you move. The back panel and carrying system are also designed to prevent snow accumulation.
The main compartment opens with a roll closure and is secured with compression straps at the top. The design makes it easy to adjust the top to the size of the pack.
On the outside there is a zippered pocket for smaller accessories that you want to reach quickly. Attachments for ice axe, rope and other equipment make it possible to carry parts of your climbing equipment on the outside of the backpack and free up space in the main compartment.
The RAPTOR Grid outer fabric combines recycled nylon with UHMWPE, a high-strength polyethylene fiber. The ripstop construction provides durability with low weight, while the water-repellent finish helps the fabric resist moisture.
The lining is made of 100% recycled polyester.
