The OMM Kamleika Cap is a technical, waterproof running cap designed for trail running, mountain running and orienteering in harsh weather . Made from the same Kamleika® material as OMM's renowned jackets and trousers, it offers exceptionally good protection against rain, wind and cold , despite its very low weight.

The cap is fully waterproof and windproof , with a water column of 20,000 mm and fully taped seams, while the material is breathable and stretchy . This means it performs comfortably even during high-intensity running in wet and windy conditions.

One of the Kamleika Cap's most appreciated features is the fold-down earflaps , which can be quickly deployed when the weather turns to strong wind, snow or cold. In calmer conditions, they fold away for maximum ventilation and a low profile. The cap can also be worn alone or on top of a thin beanie , alternatively under a hood , making it very versatile all year round.

An elasticated adjustment at the back provides a secure and personalised fit, and the soft, quiet construction means the cap is barely noticeable while running. Weighing in at around 30 grams , it's easy to tuck into a pocket or vest when the weather clears.

Wash according to manufacturer's instructions. Avoid fabric softener and tumble drying to preserve membrane and DWR treatment.

The OMM Kamleika Cap is a waterproof and windproof unisex cap with four-way stretch and elastic adjustment at the back. It can be worn directly on the head or over a thin beanie when extra warmth is needed.

How is the Kamleika Cap sized?

The Kamleika Cap has a close and stretchy fit. The elastic adjustment at the back makes it possible to fine-tune the cap so that it sits securely even while running and in strong winds.

The size is also affected by whether the cap is to be worn directly on the head or over a hat.

Our size recommendation

• Head circumference 53–57 cm: Choose S/M.
• Head circumference 59–62 cm: Choose L/XL.
• Head circumference 58 cm: Choose S/M for a close fit directly on the head. Choose L/XL if you want to wear a thin hat underneath or prefer a looser fit.
• If the cap is to be worn over a thicker hat: Measure the head circumference with the hat on before choosing a size.

How to measure head circumference

1. Use a soft measuring tape.
2. Place the measuring tape around the widest part of your head, just above your eyebrows and ears.
3. Keep the tape measure flat and comfortably tight without pulling.
4. Read off the measurement in centimeters and compare it with the table.

If you plan to wear a hat under the Kamleika Cap, take the measurement with the hat on.

Check the fit

The correct size should:

• sit stably without putting pressure on the forehead
• allow the screen to maintain its position during movement
• can be adjusted without the drawbar shoe needing to be tightened to maximum
• allow the fold-down earmuffs to cover the ears without pulling the cap up
• make room for a thin hat if you want to use the cap as an outer weather protection

A cap that is too large can move around in strong winds, while a size that is too small can feel tight and make the earmuffs less comfortable.
