Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar Proof is a specialist spray-on impregnation that not only restores water repellency but also protects textiles against harmful UV radiation – one of the most common causes of premature breakdown of tents and equipment.

Developed for synthetic tents, backpacks, bags and other weather-exposed gear , the product strengthens the fabric fibers while improving water repellency. The result is gear that stays drier, stronger and more functional for significantly longer – perfect for longer tours, expeditions and seasonal camping.

How to use Nikwax Tent & Gear Solar Proof

Always clean your equipment first (recommended: Nikwax Tent & Gear SolarWash® )

Lay the clean, damp item flat or pitch the tent

Protect the substrate

Spray evenly on the outside of the fabric (avoid backpack straps)

Wait about 2 minutes

Wipe away any excess with a damp cloth.

Check that no areas have been missed.

Allow the equipment to dry completely before packing it away.

🔹 Consumption: approx. 50 ml per 1 m² of fabric (depending on the condition of the material)
