With Niak, Hilleberg expands on the concept they introduced with their solo tent Enan: tents with very low weight but which are still remarkably strong three-season tents. It's perfect for two people who want to carry as light as possible, but it's also a real lightweight palace for one person. The dimensions of the tent accommodate two people, but the single opening and the apse along the long side make it slightly less comfortable than our other models for two people. Niak is particularly suitable for a parent and a child or for a person and a dog. It is also a perfect three-season tent for a person who wants to be as comfortable as possible at a low weight.

As with our other Yellow Label models, Niak's outer tent is made from our lightest fabric Kerlon 1000 and it is mounted with the same DAC NSL 9-millimeter poles that are used in both our Yellow Label and Red Label models. Its simple design with two poles – inspired by our Red Label tent Unna – makes it very stable and quick to set up. The single apse can be rolled up to maximize airflow through the inner tent door in mosquito netting. The ventilation openings along the lower edge of the outer tent create space that both allows for constant air flow and ensures that the outer tent is properly stretched for optimal function.

Before the introduction, Niak went through over 250 nights in the wilderness – in all types of weather in Scandinavia, the USA, the Alps and Scotland. Two people in the Niak appreciated the light weight and solo users loved that the tent offered such spacious luxury considering the light weight. Everyone felt that the Niak is an excellent choice for summer or warm weather tours.
