The Exped Flex 1.5R XS is an extremely lightweight, robust and versatile foam sleeping pad , designed for trekking, bikepacking, outdoor living and minimalist camping . The XS version is shorter and extra compact , making it ideal for those looking to keep weight down or use the sleeping pad as a complement to an inflatable sleeping pad.

The sleeping pad is made of closed-cell IXPE foam , which is puncture-proof, water-resistant and very durable . With an R-value of 1.7, the Flex 1.5R XS provides reliable basic insulation for summer use while protecting against cold and wear from uneven or hard surfaces.

Thanks to its accordion-folded design, the mat is quick to unfold and easy to pack, either inside your backpack or attached to the outside. It works great on its own in warmer conditions , but also as an extra insulating and protective layer under an inflatable sleeping pad when the ground is cold or rough.
