The Hilleberg Nammatj 3 GT is a very robust and versatile 4-season tunnel tent from Hilleberg's Black Label series , developed for use in demanding weather and remote environments . The tent is designed for 3 people and is equipped with an extended GT vestibule , which provides generous space for packing, cooking and handling equipment - especially appreciated on winter tours and longer stays.
The flysheet is made from Kerlon 1800 , Hilleberg's strongest outer fabric, combined with 10 mm tent poles , which provide exceptional strength and wind stability . The construction is intended for year-round use , with outer walls that go all the way down to the ground and adjustable fabric panels that cover the mosquito net sections and protect against snow, wind and cold.
The Nammatj design is based on a classic tunnel tent construction , which provides maximum internal volume to weight ratio and makes the tent quick to pitch even in difficult conditions. The inner and outer tents are connected but can be separated when needed, and the entire tent can be pitched with a limited number of ground pegs – an advantage in strong winds or frozen ground.
Despite its high strength, the Nammatj 3 GT is relatively light in its class and is used by polar expeditions, alpinists, professional guides and military units , but is also appreciated by more “ordinary” outdoor users who hike, paddle or ski and want maximum safety margin without unnecessary excess weight .
