LEKI Nordic Shark 2.0 Griff 16 mm is a pair of replacement handles for compatible cross-country ski poles and Nordic Walking poles. The handles are used to replace worn or damaged original handles on poles with a 16 mm tube diameter.

The integrated Shark system creates a direct connection between the hand and the pole. Together with a compatible LEKI Shark strap or Shark glove, it provides efficient power transfer, good control and quick engagement and disengagement.

Developed for Nordic activities

The Nordic Shark system is specially developed for cross-country skiing, roller skiing and Nordic Walking. The shape of the handle provides good control over the pole, while the cork-based grip surface provides a comfortable and secure grip.

The direct connection between hand and bar reduces the need to grip the handle tightly throughout the movement, which can provide a more relaxed grip and more efficient power transfer during longer workouts.

Quick connection and disconnection

A compatible Shark strap or Shark glove clicks directly into the handle. The Quick Release button allows your hand to be quickly detached from the pole when you need to adjust your equipment, drink or handle your phone.

LEKI states that Shark straps and Shark gloves are compatible with poles that use the Shark system.

Check the diameter before ordering.

This version is intended for pole tubes with an outer diameter of 16 mm at the handle attachment . It should not be confused with the LEKI equivalent handle for 16.5 mm tubes.

Measure the pole tube or check the technical specifications of the pole model before ordering. LEKI lists the PRC Max, PRC 700 and many Nordic Walking poles as examples of models with 16 mm tubes. Compatibility may vary between different model years.

Mounting

Replacing the rod handle requires removing the old handle and properly fitting the new one to the rod tube. Improper heating, gluing or fitting may damage the tube or cause the handle to come loose during use.

Check before use

Before each session, check that the handles are fully secured and cannot be twisted or pulled loose from the pole tubes. Also check that the Shark mechanism locks the strap correctly and that the release button works without binding.

Do not use the wand if the handle, locking mechanism or wand tube is damaged.
