Carboloader with Palatinose (Isomaltulose) with low GI value and kind to the teeth.

U Loader contains Palatinose as the only carbohydrate source. Palatinose is the brand name for the sugar Isomaltulose. It is a sugar with a low glycemic index (GI32) which is not optimal for a sports drink from which you want quick energy, but for a carboloader it is perfect.

The main reason why Umara chose Palatinose is that it is the first and so far only sugar that has the international stamp "Happy Tooth" that Tooth Friendly International gives to products that do not have a negative impact on our teeth. Palatinose is not an effective fast carbohydrate source for sports drinks as it is absorbed 4-5 times slower than Umara's carbohydrate sources in sports drinks and gels. The energy is thus delivered slowly to our muscles, which is not interesting while we train and compete, but during a carbohydrate loading that lasts for 2-3 days before a competition, the speed of absorption does not play a major role. Whether the carbohydrates are stored as glycogen in the muscles in 10 minutes or 40-50 minutes does not matter at all, and considering that Palatinose is kind to the teeth, Umara has chosen this for its U Loader.

Pro tip:

Creatine Monohydrate in conjunction with carbohydrates has been shown to lead to 82% faster glycogen storage compared to just carbohydrates over a 24-hour period. Umara therefore recommends buying creatine if you are out at the last minute and need to top up your stores. With a normal loading of 2-3 days, the body has time to store the carbohydrates as glycogen in the muscles and then you do not need to optimize with a simultaneous creatinine intake. But if you are out at the last minute and want to be optimal, this is a tip.

Instructions:

Mix 2 scoops (80g) in 300ml water. Drink 3 bottles a day for 2-3 days before competition or harder/longer training sessions to replenish your muscle glycogen.
