See our entire range from Start here!
Start Grip Tape is an easy-to-apply grip tape for cross-country skis that can be gripped. The tape is placed in the ski's grip zone and provides a durable grip that can be used for multiple ski tours. A practical choice for recreational skiing and training when you want to make preparation for your ski session easier.
The package contains a 5-meter roll, which is enough for approximately 2–3 pairs of skis depending on the length of the attachment zone.
Start Grip Tape has a specified temperature range from +5 to −20 °C. The wide range of use reduces the need to change the adhesive when the temperature changes between ski trips.
The lifespan of the tape is affected by snow wear and the condition of the surface. Check the attachment zone regularly and replace the tape when it becomes worn.

Apply the tape indoors to skis at room temperature.
Clean the bonding zone thoroughly with a suitable wax remover and allow the coating to dry completely.
Lightly roughen the attachment zone with sandpaper and remove the sanding dust.
Apply the tape to the correct length according to the ski's attachment zone and the packaging instructions.
Press the tape firmly against the backing with the protective paper still attached. The side of the packaging can be used to press it in place.

In case of fresh snow, Start recommends two thin layers of Universal adhesive or Grip Tape Cover on top of the tape. This helps prevent snow from sticking to the adhesive zone.
