Stretchy rain jacket for running and tough mountain weather

The OMM Kamleika Jacket Womens is a waterproof, windproof and flexible shell jacket developed for running, mountain activities and racing in demanding weather. The stretchy Kamleika material gives you the freedom of movement you need when running, while the jacket protects against rain and wind.

With a water column of 20,000 mm, a breathability of 20,000 g/m²/24 h and a weight of only 235 grams in size M, the jacket combines substantial weather protection with low weight. The women's model has a body-hugging, women-specific fit that reduces excess material without restricting your stride.

Waterproof protection with full freedom of movement

The Kamleika material is designed to feel softer, quieter and more elastic than many traditional shell garments. The jacket follows the movements of your upper body when you run, use poles or move in technical mountain terrain.

The nylon outer fabric provides a good combination of light weight and durability. All seams are taped and the full-length YKK AquaGuard zipper helps protect against rain and strong winds.

Adjustable hood with protective visor

The adjustable hood has a visor and an internal support system that helps it sit securely around the head, providing better protection and visibility when the weather changes or the wind picks up on the bare mountain.

The hood can be adjusted for a close fit that follows the movements of the head, which is especially valuable during running when a loose hood can easily interfere with visibility.

Active Cuff with integrated thumb loops

The adjustable cuffs feature OMM Active Cuff construction with integrated thumb loops, helping to keep the sleeves in place and providing extra protection over the back of the hand in cold, windy or rainy weather.

When the thumb loops are not in use, the sleeve cuffs function as regular adjustable cuffs, making the jacket easy to combine with both thin running gloves and thicker gloves.

Extended back and practical pockets

The jacket's Dynamic Droptail means that the back is extended to provide extra coverage when you lean forward, run into a headwind or wear a backpack and running vest.

Two large hand pockets provide space for, for example, a map, gloves, energy or other things you want to have close at hand. The pockets and front zipper have protective zipper garages that reduce exposure to the elements.

Reflective details on the front, sleeves and back contribute to better visibility when running in the dark or poor lighting conditions.

For training, competition and long days outdoors

The OMM Kamleika Jacket Womens is for those looking for more than just an ultralight backup jacket. It is designed for situations where the rain jacket may need to be worn for large parts of the session and where comfort, freedom of movement and breathability are at least as important as low weight.

The jacket is particularly suitable for:

trail running and mountain running

running in rain and strong wind

ultra-running and mountain running

orienteering and multisport

hiking and quick mountain tours

competitions where a waterproof jacket with a hood and taped seams is required

Always check the equipment rules for the current race before starting.

How is the Kamleika Jacket Womens sized?

The current model has a Regular Fit , which means a normal and movement-friendly fit. It is not as close to the body as some older generations of the Kamleika Jacket.

The stretchy material follows the body's movements without feeling stiff, but the jacket should still provide enough room for the clothes underneath. The four-way stretch is primarily intended to improve freedom of movement and is not a reason to choose a size that is too small.

Our size recommendation

  • For running with a base layer or thin shirt: Choose your normal size according to the table.
  • For a close and performance-oriented fit: Choose the smaller size if you are between two sizes and primarily use thin layers.
  • For a fleece or thicker midlayer: Choose the larger size if you are between two sizes.
  • If bust and butt correspond to different sizes: Start with the largest measurement.
  • If your bust circumference is around 90 cm: Choose M for a body-hugging fit with thin layers or L for more room to move and the option of a mid-layer.

How do you measure?

Bust circumference

Measure around the fullest part of your bust. Hold the tape measure horizontally across your back and do not pull it too tight.

Joint circumference

Stand with your feet close together and measure around the widest part of your hips and buttocks. Make sure the measuring tape is flat.

It is advisable to take the measurement over a thin base layer, especially if this is how the jacket will mainly be used.

Check the fit

The correct size should:

  • can be closed without tightening over the bust or hips
  • provide full freedom of movement when extending your arms forward and above your head
  • allowing you to use the integrated thumb grips without the sleeves pulling
  • make room for your planned base layer or mid layer
  • lack clear stress wrinkles across the chest, shoulders and back
  • allow the hood to follow the movements of the head without the jacket being pulled up
  • maintain coverage over your back and hips when running

Try the jacket on with the layers you normally wear. A shell jacket that is too tight can restrict movement and provide poor ventilation, while a jacket that is too big can create unnecessary flutter in the wind.
