Colltex Pro-Skin Protective Socks – protect the adhesive surface of the climbing skin (without mesh)

Colltex Pro-Skin Protective Socks are high-quality synthetic protective socks used to protect the adhesive surface of the skin . They are a convenient alternative to traditional protective nets and make handling skins easier – especially in wind, snow and cold .

By directly covering the adhesive side with the sock, the adhesive layer is less exposed to the weather and you avoid the skins twisting in the wind or accidentally getting stuck glue to glue.

Benefits

Protects the adhesive surface of the climbing skin – replaces netting
Very flexible in wind and weather
Less risk of the adhesive surface becoming dirty or damp
Prevents the skins from twisting in the wind
Reduces the risk of glue sticking to glue
The socks can be washed at 40°C.

Perfect for mountains, mountaineering & windy days

When handling skins outdoors in harsh weather, traditional nets can be cumbersome. Pro-skin socks make it easier to:

take off and put on skins

protect the adhesive surface directly

maintain better control in the wind

prevent the skins from getting stuck or exposed to the weather

Drying & care

For best durability:

Remove the riser skin from the sock when drying

Repack only when both the sock and skin are dry.

Wash at 40°C if necessary.

1. Your hand in the sock

Slide your hand into the colltex pro-skin sock and pull the skin sock over your arm.

2. Remove the skin one third from the pod

Remove about a third of the skin from the ski base using your "skin sock hand".

3. Pull the sock over

Pull the sock over this third of the instep.

4. Place the rest of the skin around the sock

Remove the remaining skin from the ski base and place it on the sock with the adhesive surface in contact with the sock. Lightly press the skin against the sock.
