the OMM Core Tights (AW23)

A new concept in active insulation, the OMM Core Range is made entirely of PrimaLoft® ACTIVE ultralight insulating fabric. Built from a synthetic down woven through a knitted mesh, Core offers the warmth of a fleece but with less than half the weight.

Combined with an overpant shell, the Core Tights are an incredibly effective insulator, but thanks to near-total air permeability, excessive heat build-up is easily dissipated. A real valley to a peak. Core tights use the 75 g Core fabric that provides extra warmth during winter or long runs. Core works wet or dry with incredible moisture wicking properties to ensure you don't stay wet for long. While panels of stretch nylon Flexile provide extra protection with good wind and water resistance above the knees and a wide elastic band is comfortable when layering.

PrimaLoft® ACTIVE Insulation fabric weaves PrimaLoft® fibers onto a mesh, creating a super high volume and open structure. Fabrics insulate by trapping air pockets that the wearer's heat cannot pass through. The core structure is exceptional in creating these pockets. But the openness also allows a light breeze to disrupt these air pockets and remove the insulating effect. Cover with a shell to create an incredibly warm system for cold weather adventures.

A single mesh fabric holds the insulation plume in place, reducing the need for extra fabric layers and halving weight and pack size.

At OMM we always choose synthetic insulation over down to make sure we can stay warm even when everything is wet. We believe PrimaLoft® makes the best synthetic insulation, so it's an easy choice for us. 75g/m2 PrimaLoft® ACTIVE uses 58% recycled material, it is also bluesign and Oeke-Tex approved.
