The VJ MAXx2 is a technical trail shoe for runners who want maximum grip, high comfort and responsive cushioning on varying surfaces. The shoe is designed for trail running, ultra running, sky running and OCR, but works equally well for fast training sessions, long runs in the forest and competitions on technical terrain.
The midsole is made of VJ SuperFOAMance , a lightweight and modern foam material that provides a lot of cushioning, energy return and comfort. This makes the shoe both protective and fun to run, whether you're running on trails, mountains, gravel, roots, rocks or muddy sections.
For added protection, the MAXx2 features a full-length rock plate in the midsole. It protects the foot from sharp rocks, roots, and uneven surfaces, while contributing to increased torsional rigidity and a more efficient stride on technical terrain.
The outsole is equipped with VJ's well-known Superior Contact rubber , made of butyl rubber for very good grip on wet, dry and technical surfaces. The 4 mm deep studs provide secure contact with the ground without the shoe feeling bulky, making the MAXx2 a very versatile trail shoe.
The upper is made of a lightweight, breathable and durable material in a one-piece construction. Together with the foot-shaped last, it provides a comfortable fit with good space and a natural feel. The VJ Fitlock system locks the foot from the arch and provides extra stability, especially sideways and on uneven surfaces.

The VJ MAXx2 has a foot-shaped last and a fit that provides good comfort even on longer sessions. Compared to the previous VJ MAXx, the MAXx2 feels slightly larger in size.
The Fitlock system helps keep the foot firmly in place, especially in technical terrain where the foot can otherwise easily slide sideways.
Clean the shoes after use, especially after muddy or wet sessions. Hand wash if necessary at a maximum of 30°C and let the shoes dry at room temperature. Avoid drying cabinets, radiators and direct strong heat.
