Hilleberg Tarp 5

A TARP PROVIDES NECESSARY weather protection while retaining the feeling of being completely outdoors. In addition, a tarp can be used to create an airy patio at the tent entrance or as a kitchen a bit away from the tent site for greater safety in areas with bears. The tarp's uses are almost endless and it can be set up with walking sticks, paddles or rods and stretched between trees.

Hilleberg's smallest model, Tarp 5, is specially designed to protect a person with equipment. The shape makes it easy to get in and out and the tarp can be set up quite high from the ground to get the right, airy tarp feeling - or with the edges close to the ground for good protection in harsh weather conditions. By using a Bivanorak when sleeping under Tarp 5, or any other tarp model, you get extra protection both for the sleeping bag and against bad weather.

To fit right into a minimalist product line, Tarp 5 is made from our lightweight yet strong Kerlon 1000 fabric, which is used in our three-season Yellow Label tents, and is delivered together with 2-millimeter stay lines. Tarp 5 is a perfect combination with our Mesh Tent 1, and they weigh only 730 g together. It is a very nice solution for warm weather camping for those who want a minimal and easy, but still comfortable alternative.
