Tough shovel with unique clearing function and practical D-grip! The KODIAK shovel has the largest damper volume (3.1 liters) in Ortovox's product line. The blade is also extremely stiff (AL 6061 T6 is the perfect material for shovels), but this tool is easy to pack and fits easily in any ORTOVOX backpack. Its leading edge is sharpened and its upper edge is equipped with tailor-made ridges. The shaft is oval (for greater rigidity) and has a telescopic, sliding rubber surface. The D-grip is considered the most ergonomic grip and helps with a heavy flush of snow. It has become more compact than its predecessor without compromising its length. The new one is also the flat blade, which is now ideal for professional snow removal. The Ist clearing feature is truly unique. The friction connection between the shaft and the blade is virtually indestructible and saves critical seconds when used to save your companion's life.
